| History - ProConnections, Inc. was founded in 2003 as Surveillance Technology, Inc. (STI) to address the transition of CCTV video to the digital world. Coming from truly diverse imaging backgrounds, the technical staff at STI was drawn together by the common interest in the emerging technology of digital video. | ||||||||||
| Making our initial customers successful shaped the future of our company. Initially we were sought to develop digital video recorders, the expectation being STI would supply a component to a system they would own and manage. It soon became clear that the subtle details, the nuisances of lighting, the selecting of cameras and lenses, the implications posed by various camera enclosures, all had to be managed to make our customer successful. Clearly, in order for that success to translate to STI itself, we needed to provide more than great products; we needed to deliver solutions. | ||||||||||
| Our initial efforts were split developing digital video recorders for both military and commercial use. That work led to additional requests for more development to meet the specific needs of Government and military requirements. eCap, our commercial industrial event recorder, is a direct descendant of our first digital video recorders. We are currently shipping a third generation product from the eCap family. Operating over standard network technology, today’s offering includes rack mounted event recorders using 60 FPS IP camera technology and an integrated client accessible throughout the manufacturing plant. Equally important as we continue to ship the third generation, the fourth generation product is taking shape in our engineering lab and will be out in the field shortly. | ||||||||||
